Freezer and Dairy Clerk Part Time
About The Position
The Dairy & Freezer Clerk maintains the dairy and freezer sections by stocking, rotating, and protecting product integrity. The role supports merchandising, inventory management, and food safety compliance while providing excellent service to Members. The clerk helps keep the department organized and efficient and contributes to the success of the perishables team. The position also supports team engagement, Member experience, club standards, and financial performance. Team members are expected to act inclusively and ethically, communicate collaboratively, provide helpful service, and complete assigned work accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and email.
Responsibilities
- Stock dairy and freezer products according to company planograms.
- Monitor temperature control to support cold chain integrity and replenish low or missing items.
- Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Inspect product condition and expiration dates, removing damaged or outdated items.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including routine cleaning of coolers, freezers, equipment, and shelving.
- Monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment to maintain product availability.
- Verify that items are correctly signed and priced.
- Assist with seasonal transitions and merchandising plans.
- Follow company policies and procedures for dairy and freezer operations.
- Perform other duties and provide support across departments as assigned.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Meet daily Member service standards, engage with Members helpfully, respond to questions or concerns, and escalate unresolved issues to a supervisor when necessary.
- Perform daily responsibilities accurately and consistently to support club goals, performance, and profitability.
- Use supplies responsibly and follow scheduling expectations.
