Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate - New Location: Katy, TX
About The Position
Sam’s Club is hiring a Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate for its new Katy, Texas club. As a founding associate, you will help establish the club’s culture and member experience while supporting daily operations in freezer, cooler, and deli areas. The role involves working with fresh food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including cold environments, and providing friendly service to members. You will stock, rotate, and zone products; monitor temperature control, expiration dates, and product quality; and maintain clean, sanitized, member-ready displays. You will also assist with deli orders, handle merchandise and operational records, conduct safety checks, and safely use and sanitize equipment. Sam’s Club describes the position as an opportunity to grow a retail career through training and development. The hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00, with possible additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specified circumstances. The position requires completion of job-required training and assessments within a prescribed period. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities
- Stock, rotate, and zone products in freezer, cooler, and deli areas in accordance with Cold Chain procedures.
- Monitor temperature control, expiration dates, and product quality; dispose of lower-quality items.
- Pack ready-to-sell products in appropriate containers and stock displays.
- Handle claims and returns; sign and price merchandise; complete required audits, logs, and paperwork.
- Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and member-ready displays and work areas.
- Clean freezer, cooler, and deli areas, including windows, mirrors, and display cases; monitor fans, drains, and doors.
- Assist members with deli orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Conduct safety sweeps and follow forklift-spotting procedures and hazardous-material handling guidelines.
- Operate, repair, and sanitize equipment safely; report unsafe conditions and equipment issues to management.
- Support accurate and efficient operations and a positive member experience.
