Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate - New Location: Katy, TX
About The Position
Sam’s Club is hiring a founding associate for its new Katy, Texas club. The Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate helps keep freezer, cooler, and deli products fresh, stocked, easy to find, and available to members. The role supports club operations and member satisfaction by stocking and rotating products, monitoring temperature controls and expiration dates, maintaining sanitary displays, and assisting members with deli orders. The work takes place in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and includes working in cold areas. Associates follow food safety and cold-chain procedures, handle merchandise and equipment safely, complete required audits and paperwork, and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to management. This role offers opportunities to contribute to the culture and member experience of a new club, with training and development opportunities. The position requires the ability to complete required job trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The posted hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00, with possible additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete all required job trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.

Responsibilities
- Stock, rotate, and zone products in freezer, cooler, and deli areas according to Cold Chain procedures.
- Monitor temperature control, expiration dates, and product quality; dispose of lower-quality items.
- Handle claims and returns; sign and price merchandise; complete required audits, logs, and paperwork.
- Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise and maintain clean, sanitized, member-ready displays.
- Clean freezer, cooler, and deli areas, including windows, mirrors, and display cases; monitor fans, drains, and doors.
- Assist members with deli orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Conduct safety sweeps and follow forklift spotting procedures and hazardous material handling guidelines.
- Operate, repair, and sanitize equipment safely; report unsafe conditions and equipment issues to management.
- Help maintain a positive member experience and support efficient club operations.
