Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate - New Location Baytown, TX
About The Position
As a Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate at Sam’s Club’s new Baytown location, you will help keep freezer, cooler, and deli products fresh, stocked, easy to find, and ready for members. The role combines stocking and rotating merchandise, monitoring product quality and temperature controls, maintaining clean and sanitized areas, and assisting members with deli orders. You will support a fast-paced, high-volume club environment and contribute to building the member experience and team culture at a new location. The position involves working in cold environments and using equipment safely while following food safety, Cold Chain, and other operational procedures. Associates are expected to maintain accurate operations, respond to changing business needs, and provide friendly member service. The stated hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00, with possible premiums in specific circumstances.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.
- Be comfortable working in cold environments, including freezer and cooler areas.

Responsibilities
- Stock, rotate, and zone products in freezer, cooler, and deli areas according to Cold Chain procedures.
- Monitor temperature control, expiration dates, and product quality, and dispose of lower-quality items.
- Handle claims and returns; sign and price merchandise; and complete required audits, logs, and paperwork.
- Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise and maintain clean, sanitized, member-ready displays.
- Clean freezer, cooler, and deli areas, including windows, mirrors, and display cases; monitor fans, drains, and doors.
- Assist members with deli orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Conduct safety sweeps and follow forklift spotting procedures and hazardous-material handling guidelines.
- Operate, repair, and sanitize equipment safely, and report unsafe conditions and equipment issues to management.
- Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
- Maintain shelf cleanliness and sanitary conditions in assigned areas.
