About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Foxboro DCS Senior Field Service Engineer and be at the forefront of delivering exceptional technical solutions to our valued customers! This role involves managing customer contracts, performing preventative maintenance, documenting and delivering reports, and providing on-site remedial support. You will ensure customer systems are updated with the latest software, quick fixes, and hardware, and prepare and deliver upgrade plans. The position requires adherence to Global Service technical procedures and tools, providing technical review of orders and proposals, and analyzing technical risks for expansion projects and upgrades. You will also attend technical training on systems, instruments, applications, process control, communication, and safety. Additionally, you will support Sales as directed by the Regional Service Manager to secure orders and service agreements, understand and enforce Schneider Electric contractual obligations on major projects, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role handles overall technical responsibilities for one or more projects, including specification, functionality, testing, and commissioning. You will perform system testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), develop test documents, and prepare documentation for customer approval. Coordination with the factory for product-related issues and their resolution is also a key responsibility. The role requires knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, Unix, DCS, Safety Systems, PLCs, Communication protocols, Networking, and System Security. Travel up to 50% in the Southwest Region (TX, OK, NM, and KS) is expected.

Requirements

  • A recognized Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Process Control (desirable)
  • 5 + years of DCS, PLC and safety systems experience like Foxboro IA - Industrial Automation, modicon PLC and Triconex safety systems
  • Ability to install hardware and software, perform configuration, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Familiar with the products and services within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Chemical industry
  • Knowledge of HMI (Human Machine Interface) software and field instrumentation
  • Knowledge of Foxboro and AVEVA System Platform
  • Team player with good leadership and communication skills and able to travel when required
  • Strong analytical & logical ability, possession of good judgment, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, forward looking and good leadership abilities
  • Innovative and dynamic with effective communication skills, especially in inter-cultural aspects

Responsibilities
