About The Position

The Foundry Utility Worker supports daily foundry operations through production, material handling, grinding, and cleaning tasks. The role supports manufacturing operations by following standard procedures and safety guidelines while assisting with equipment setup, material movement, and foundry production processes. Work takes place in a high-temperature industrial environment with noise and dust exposure.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to use fixed gauges and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including occasionally lifting over 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working in high-temperature industrial environments with noise and dust exposure.
Strong attention to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Ability to concentrate and remain productive for extended periods during repetitive tasks.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check is required for employment.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing or foundry experience preferred.
Prior grinding experience is a plus; training is available for entry-level candidates.

Responsibilities

Grind large and small castings using hand and power tools.
Operate band saws, shot blast equipment, forklifts, payloaders, and power vac equipment.
Pour molds and assist with foundry production activities.
Transport materials, castings, and equipment throughout the facility.
Assist molders with machine setup and area cleanup.
Repair pouring ladles and support general foundry maintenance tasks.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable parts to supervision.
Sort, clean, and move castings and raw materials as needed.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipment.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
