About The Position

Volca is hiring its first marketing employee to own and develop the company’s content-led marketing function. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role, working directly with the founders and responsible for writing, publishing, and measuring marketing work. The marketer will build on early success with content and positioning and support Volca’s growth as it expands its products for home service businesses.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing or content marketing.
Able to personally write, build marketing materials, and ship launch communications.
Strong, clear writing skills and ability to explain technical products simply to business owners.
Experience positioning and launching products, with examples of the results.
Experience growing an owned channel such as a newsletter, blog, or LinkedIn presence, and connecting it to pipeline.
Able to learn a blue-collar industry quickly.
Moves quickly, publishes consistently, and is comfortable working without an established playbook.

Experience at an early-stage startup.
Experience in vertical SaaS, home services, ServiceTitan, construction, or the trades.

Responsibilities

Write and publish the company newsletter every week; grow subscribers, improve open and click rates, and connect newsletter performance to pipeline and upsells.
Develop product positioning and messaging for payroll, AP, job costing, and future products.
Plan product launches and create release notes and product update emails for existing customers.
Create customer case studies, testimonials, and video stories.
Run the company’s LinkedIn and Meta accounts.
Own messaging and website pages as Volca’s products and verticals expand.
Develop content for conferences and future company-hosted events, including booth messaging, follow-up sequences, and recap content.
Build and run marketing workflows and automations.
