About The Position

Exiger is seeking a Forward Deployed Strategy Manager to serve as a technical translator on forward deployment teams. Working alongside forward deployed engineers, the manager helps enterprise customers rapidly deploy AI-native solutions to complex supply chain and risk challenges. The role owns workstreams within customer implementations, translates customer needs into scoped technical requirements, and supports customers through organizational change. It involves advising customers on agentic solutions for complex and geopolitically sensitive issues. The manager partners with customer stakeholders to identify operational bottlenecks, turns broad problems into actionable requirements, and leads workstreams from design through delivery. They bridge customer and technical teams, facilitate workshops, design user-centered workflows, train end users, and analyze customer data using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and R. The role also anticipates program risks, coordinates stakeholders, and relays customer needs to product and engineering teams as reusable platform feedback. The position is based in McLean, Virginia, or Richmond, Virginia, with a hybrid work environment and up to 25% travel. Candidates must be based in the United States and be U.S. citizens.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in operations consulting, such as at Deloitte, PwC, EY, Accenture, or a similar firm, including delivery of technology implementations or deployments.
  • A combination of technical aptitude, computational thinking, and data manipulation skills with strong communication, storytelling, and relationship-management skills.
  • Proficiency querying and analyzing datasets with SQL and Snowflake, and light scripting in Python and R.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise software, data architecture, and cloud environments; able to engage credibly with technical counterparts without being expected to build the solution.
  • Comfort working independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and under delivery pressure, with the ability to bring structure to complex situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to earn trust with business and technical stakeholders and advise customers rather than simply take orders.
  • Must be U.S.-based and a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to work directly with customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supply chain risk management (SCRM), or in SCRM combined with compliance such as trade, customs, or export compliance advisory.
  • Experience at a technology company in or adjacent to the SCRM and compliance space.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customer stakeholders to understand operational bottlenecks and translate broad problems into scoped requirements.
  • Own customer implementation workstreams from design through delivery and keep the broader program on track.
  • Communicate customer needs to forward deployed engineers in actionable terms and guide customers toward designs suited to platform capabilities and rules.
  • Lead workshops, design user-centric workflows, and train end users to support adoption in complex organizations.
  • Inspect customer data structures, validate data integrity, and perform rapid prototyping and ad hoc analysis using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and R.
  • Help customers strategize agentic solutions.
  • Anticipate customer needs and program failure modes, and coordinate internal and customer stakeholders across workstreams.
  • Represent the voice of the customer by translating client-specific needs into reusable platform capabilities and feeding field requirements to product and engineering.

Benefits

  • Discretionary time off with no maximum limits.
  • Health, vision, and dental benefits.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
  • Flexible hybrid approach to working from home and in the office, where applicable.
  • Wellness stipends and dedicated wellness programming.
  • Career development programs with reimbursement for educational certifications.
