About The Position

Healthpeak is seeking interns to join its Forward Deployed Software Engineering team for Summer 2027. The role offers the autonomy of a startup within an established organization and focuses on turning technology into a revenue-generating part of the real estate business. The team builds products and platforms that support tenants, partners, and Healthpeak employees.

Interns work in a small, agile pod embedded with business teams, partnering with operators, asset managers, and customer-facing colleagues to identify opportunities, design solutions, and deliver practical value. The work involves rapidly prototyping, testing, launching, and scaling ideas, sometimes taking concepts to production within weeks. The role prioritizes understanding users’ needs and reducing friction to create seamless experiences for tenants and partners.

The internship is expected to run for 12 weeks at 40 hours per week. Pay is $25 per hour.

Requirements

• Demonstrated programming expertise in languages such as Python, Java, C++, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience developing alongside AI agents, such as Claude Code.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, including practical experience with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and related technologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving goals and iterative user feedback.
• Self-directed and adaptable learning, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal oversight.
• Expected availability of 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.

• Background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
