About The Position

A global management consulting firm is launching an AI product that gives leadership a single view of business performance. The product connects to client data sources, applies performance-management frameworks, and highlights business performance, organizational conversations, and potential actions. The core product is already built, and client delivery is organized into small pods consisting of a product lead and two engineers working with the firm’s consultants.

As one of the pod’s engineers, you will work on site with a client in Waltham, Massachusetts; Cincinnati, Ohio; or Dallas, Texas. You will connect client data systems to the product, build pipelines behind business metrics, and adapt the platform to client needs. The work involves unfamiliar and potentially undocumented systems, collaboration with end users and client teams, and a fast feedback loop. The engagement is 3 to 6 months. Work is on site Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays. Candidates must live in the Greater Boston area, Cincinnati, or Dallas, and be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of full-stack engineering experience with React and Node.js in production.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and Redux.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on data integration experience, including ETL/ELT, APIs, and data warehouses.
• Experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks, including prompting, tool use, and evaluation.
• Experience working directly with customers or end users and explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to join an unfamiliar codebase and ship within the first week.
• Must live in the Greater Boston area (Waltham, MA), Cincinnati, OH, or Dallas, TX.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a forward-deployed, solutions, or consulting engineering role.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or a similar modern data stack.
• Experience with healthcare or medical services data, such as EHR, claims, scheduling, or revenue cycle.
• Familiarity with HIPAA-aware data handling.

Responsibilities

• Integrate client data sources, including warehouses, ERP, CRM, operational systems, and APIs, into the product.
• Write and tune SQL queries and data pipelines that transform raw client data into reliable metrics.
• Extend the product’s frontend and backend to meet client-specific needs.
• Use the product’s agent and SDK tooling to configure and extend client workflows.
• Debug data quality issues on site with client IT teams and data owners.
• Collaborate with the product manager and consultants to deliver client customizations.
