About The Position

Join a forward-deployed team delivering an AI product to enterprise clients. The product connects to client data sources, applies performance-management frameworks, and gives leadership a view of business performance, recommended conversations, and actions. Each client is supported by a small pod consisting of a product lead and two engineers working alongside the consulting firm’s consultants. As one of the pod’s engineers, you will work on site with a client in Waltham, MA, Cincinnati, OH, or Dallas, TX, translating business questions into reliable data feeds. The work involves navigating messy, undocumented systems and responding quickly to feedback from product users. The engagement is 3 to 6 months. Work is on site Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays. Candidates must live in the Greater Boston area, Cincinnati, or Dallas, and must be authorized to work in the United States. The stated start timing is beginning November.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Redux.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on data integration experience, including ETL/ELT, APIs, and data warehouses.
  • Experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks, including prompting, tool use, and evaluation.
  • Experience working directly with customers or end users, including explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to join an unfamiliar codebase and ship within the first week.
  • Must live in the Greater Boston area (Waltham, MA), Cincinnati, OH, or Dallas, TX.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or a similar modern data stack.
  • Experience with healthcare or medical services data, such as EHR, claims, scheduling, or revenue cycle.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-aware data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate client data sources, including warehouses, ERP, CRM, operational systems, and APIs, into the product.
  • Write and tune SQL queries and data pipelines that turn raw client data into reliable metrics.
  • Extend the product’s frontend and backend to meet client-specific needs.
  • Use the product’s agent and SDK tooling to configure and extend client workflows.
  • Debug data quality issues on site with client IT teams and data owners.
  • Collaborate closely with the product manager and consultants to deliver client customizations.
