About The Position

Architect, design, code, and implement next-generation web applications using software engineering best practices and current technologies, including Node.js, React.js, Redux.js, RESTful APIs, Express, Knex, Jenkins, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, SonarQube, and UrbanCode. Provide software expertise in rich, modular single-page application interfaces, secure RESTful API microservices, and user experience and accessibility standards, including Section 508, WCAG, and USDS Web Standards. Investigate and repair application defects across front-end, business logic, middleware, and database components, including PL/SQL and data modeling. Communicate with management, customers, team members, or vendors using written or oral communication appropriate to the audience's technical level. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

This is a 100% onsite position in Woodlawn, Maryland, five days per week. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

Requirements

• Master's degree and 5+ years of experience, bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience, or 13+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in modern software development, including designing, building, deploying, and running applications.
• Combined experience building web applications with modern technologies such as Node.js, React, Redux, MobX, Flux, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.
• Extensive senior-level full-stack development experience with Node.js and React.js, including detailed understanding of user interface frameworks, backend architecture patterns, and Node module capabilities.
• Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks and technologies such as React.js, Express.js, Redux, or Flux.js.
• Strong experience developing RESTful web services using Node.js.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile processes and TDD, BDD, and related ceremonies.
• Experience with complex programming, debugging, data analysis, and problem analysis and resolution in open-source applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise writing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL and optimizing queries.
• Experience working on a large team, managing and resolving merge conflicts, and working with upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• Willingness to work onsite in Woodlawn, MD five days a week.

• Experience creating and manipulating HTML and CSS.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Express, Restify, Hapi, Sails, JOI, Moment, Axios, and Knex.
• Experience with the Agility Application Lifecycle Management tool.

• Experience with the NGiNX web server.
• Experience with message services such as MQLight.
• Experience with caching tools such as Redis or ElastiCache.
• Experience leveraging AI models to generate accurate, high-quality code and increase development velocity.
