About The Position

The Sr. Full Stack Developer will architect, design, code, and implement next-generation web applications using current software engineering practices and technologies, including Node.js, React.js, Redux.js, Express, Knex, Jenkins, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, SonarQube, and UrbanCode. The role may provide software expertise in rich, modular single-page application interfaces, secure RESTful API microservices, or user experience and accessibility standards, including Section 508, WCAG, and USDS Web Standards.

The developer will investigate and repair application defects across front-end components, business logic, middleware, and databases, including PL/SQL and data modeling. They will communicate technical information to management, customers, team members, and vendors at an appropriate level for the audience, and perform other assigned duties. This is a 100% onsite position in Woodlawn, Maryland, five days per week. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

Requirements

• Master's degree and 5+ years of experience, bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience, or 13+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of experience in modern software development, including designing, building, deploying, and running applications.
• Combined experience building web applications with modern technologies such as Node.js, React, Redux, MobX, Flux, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.
• Extensive senior-level full-stack software development experience with Node.js and React.js, including detailed understanding of user interface frameworks, back-end architecture patterns, and Node module capabilities.
• Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks and technologies such as React.js, Express.js, Redux, or Flux.js.
• Strong experience developing RESTful web services using Node.js.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile processes and TDD, BDD, and ceremonies including scrums, planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
• Ability to perform complex programming, debugging, data analysis, and problem analysis, and resolve issues within open-source applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including translating complex technical details into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise writing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL and optimizing queries.
• Experience working as part of a large team and managing and resolving merge conflicts and upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Ability to mentor team members on Node.js and React technologies.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Woodlawn, Maryland, five days a week.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HTML and CSS creation and manipulation.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and tools such as Express, Restify, Hapi, Sails, JOI, Moment, Axios, and Knex.
• Experience with the Agility Application Lifecycle Management tool.

• Experience with cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with the NGiNX web server.
• Experience with message services such as MQLight.
• Experience with caching tools such as Redis or ElastiCache.
• Experience leveraging AI models to generate accurate, high-quality code and increase velocity.
