About The Position

Join a forward-deployed team delivering an AI product to enterprise clients. The product gives leadership a single view of business performance by connecting to client data sources, applying performance-management frameworks, and highlighting business status, organizational conversations, and recommended actions. The core product is already built. Each client is supported by a small pod consisting of a product lead and two engineers, working alongside the firm’s consultants. As one of the pod’s engineers, you will work on site with a client in Waltham, MA, Cincinnati, OH, or Dallas, TX, turning business questions into reliable data feeds. The work involves navigating messy, undocumented systems and responding quickly to feedback from end users. This is a 3-to-6-month engagement. On-site work is Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays. Candidates must live in the Greater Boston area, Cincinnati, or Dallas and be authorized to work in the United States. The stated start timing is beginning November.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of full-stack engineering experience with React and Node.js in production.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Redux.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on data integration experience, including ETL/ELT, APIs, and data warehouses.
  • Experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks, including prompting, tool use, and evaluation.
  • Experience working directly with customers or end users and explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to join an unfamiliar codebase and ship within the first week.
  • Must live in the Greater Boston area (Waltham, MA), Cincinnati, OH, or Dallas, TX.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a forward-deployed, solutions, or consulting engineering role.
  • Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or a similar modern data stack.
  • Experience with healthcare or medical services data, such as EHR, claims, scheduling, or revenue cycle.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-aware data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate client data sources, including warehouses, ERP, CRM, operational systems, and APIs, into the product.
  • Write and tune SQL queries and data pipelines that convert raw client data into reliable metrics.
  • Extend the product’s frontend and backend to meet client-specific needs.
  • Use the product’s agent and SDK tooling to configure and extend client workflows.
  • Debug data quality issues on site with client IT teams and data owners.
  • Collaborate with the product manager and consultants to deliver client customizations.
