About The Position

A global management consulting firm is launching an AI product that gives leadership a unified view of business performance. The product connects to client data sources, applies performance-management frameworks, and helps identify business status, organizational conversations, and actions. The core product is already built, and each client is supported by a small pod consisting of a product lead and two engineers working with the firm’s consultants.

As one of the engineers in a client pod, you will work on site with a client in Waltham, Massachusetts; Cincinnati, Ohio; or Dallas, Texas. You will connect client data systems to the product, build data pipelines behind business metrics, and tailor the platform and workflows to client needs. The work involves navigating unfamiliar and sometimes undocumented systems, working directly with end users and client teams, and delivering quickly in response to feedback.

This is a 3-to-6-month engagement. The schedule is on site Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays. Candidates must live in the Greater Boston area, Cincinnati, or Dallas and must be authorized to work in the United States. The stated start timing is beginning November.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of full-stack engineering experience with React and Node.js in production.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Redux.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on data integration experience, including ETL/ELT, APIs, and data warehouses.
• Experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks, including prompting, tool use, and evaluation.
• Experience working directly with customers or end users and explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to join an unfamiliar codebase and ship within the first week.
• Must live in the Greater Boston area (Waltham, Massachusetts), Cincinnati, Ohio, or Dallas, Texas.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a forward-deployed, solutions, or consulting engineering role.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or a similar modern data stack.
• Experience with healthcare or medical services data, such as EHR, claims, scheduling, or revenue cycle; described as a strong plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA-aware data handling.

Responsibilities

• Integrate client data sources, including warehouses, ERP, CRM, operational systems, and APIs, into the product.
• Write and tune SQL queries and data pipelines to turn raw client data into reliable metrics.
• Extend the product’s frontend and backend to meet client-specific needs.
• Use the product’s agent and SDK tooling to configure and extend client workflows.
• Debug data quality issues on site with client IT teams and data owners.
• Collaborate closely with the product manager and consultants to deliver client customizations.
• Work directly with end users and translate business questions into reliable data feeds.
