About The Position

Endeavor builds custom AI systems for companies in mission-critical industries, including manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, defense, and life sciences. Its systems use customers’ business-critical data and are built within their own technology stacks for production use.

Forward Deployed Engineers work side by side with customers to understand their hardest problems and architect and build solutions using the latest advances in AI. At this level, the engineer leads engagements from the first conversation through production: scoping problems with customer stakeholders, making key technical decisions, and delivering systems suitable for mission-critical environments. The role works in small, agile teams, owns end-to-end delivery of high-stakes projects, and helps raise the bar for other engineers. Ability to travel is required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• A track record of taking projects from an ambiguous problem to production.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
• Comfort working directly with customers and translating business problems into technical solutions.
• Ability to travel.
• High agency, ability to operate amid chaos, strong first-principles thinking, outcome orientation, and resiliency.

Nice To Haves

• An engineering background, ideally in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
