Forward Deployed Engineer | Merchandising

RELEX Solutions•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

RELEX Solutions is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer with a strong data science foundation for its US Merchandising business. The role is part of the central engineering team and works with the US operations team and directly with US customers, serving as the scientific and technical face of RELEX Merchandising to US retailers. This is a production engineering role, not consulting or solutions architecture. The engineer writes production code and builds production models that run in live customer environments, collaborating with customers on forecast and optimization improvements. Work requires testing hypotheses on customer data, validating results with customer analysts, communicating limitations, and ensuring improvements run reliably in production. The role owns technical delivery from discovery through go-live, including configuration, extensions, integrations, and deployment quality. It also measures and presents customer outcomes, develops technical customer relationships, contributes field-informed use cases to the product roadmap, supports customer self-sufficiency, identifies account growth opportunities, and contributes technical input to commercial activity. The role requires travel and on-site work at customer locations for parts of an engagement. The position is based in the U.S.; applicants must be fluent in English and hold a valid U.S. work permit. As the US Merchandising business grows, the role may develop into the senior scientific voice for the region, shaping central product development and how solutions are delivered to US customers.

  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at customer locations for parts of an engagement.
  • Comfort using AI in everyday work and developing AI tool adoption as an organizational strategy.

  • Must be based in the U.S. and hold a valid U.S. work permit.
