About The Position

Cato Networks is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for its Field AI Engineering team, a group that combines software engineering expertise with customer-facing skills. This customer-facing role leads major customer engagements remotely and on-site, tackling complex technical challenges and influencing product direction. The engineer designs and develops tailored solutions for customer environments and collaborates with R&D and Product teams when scalable solutions are needed. Previous sales or customer-facing consulting experience is required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on programming experience in Python, Node.js, or Go; strong in one and comfortable learning the others.
• At least 1 year of experience working with AWS, Kubernetes, and RDS, including familiarity with cloud-native deployments, scaling, and persistence.
• Previous sales or customer-facing consulting experience is required.
• A B.Sc. in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience from a technological army unit.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer-facing roles such as solutions engineering or product management, with a track record of translating customer needs into product feedback, integrations, and end-to-end solutions (listed as an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Drive AI Security deal success by handling complex technical sales engagements.
• Lead and participate in customer meetings, including technical deep dives, solution design sessions, and executive-level discussions, remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, R&D, Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
• Design and develop custom features, integrations, and tailored solutions for customer-specific environments and challenges.
• Lead and support complex customer deployments from initial design through implementation and validation.
• Act as a hands-on technical expert throughout the customer lifecycle, contributing as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
