About The Position

Foley is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to make its go-to-market operation AI-native. The role builds and runs measurable growth experiments and AI-powered systems supporting marketing, product marketing, and sales. The engineer will turn hypotheses into experiments, build the required tools and agents, launch them, and evaluate their impact on pipeline, conversion, or cost per lead. Foley provides a live AI platform, a governed path to production, and a small team of builders. The role includes creating account research and enrichment agents; detecting buying signals and triggers; managing lead scoring, qualification, routing, outbound, lifecycle programs, tracking, and attribution; and developing tools that support product marketing and sales. The engineer will build on Foley’s shared AI platform and ontology, contribute reusable platform capabilities, and make sure systems are reliable and appropriately governed. They will work with marketing, product marketing, sales, RevOps, the data team, and other builders, while sharing their work and helping colleagues move faster. The role is primarily remote within the United States, with occasional office visits for collaboration, training, or company events. Remote work is available only from the states listed in the posting.

Requirements

  • Have driven measurable growth results with AI and agents, such as pipeline, meetings, conversion, cost per lead or acquisition, or revenue, and be able to explain how results were measured.
  • Have designed and run many experiments, understand control groups and sample sizes, and be able to discuss failed tests.
  • Be able to build hands-on using Python, SQL, APIs, webhooks, LLMs, agents, and Claude Code or similar.
  • Have hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar, as well as enrichment and sequencing tools.
  • Understand how B2B demand is created and converted, including what makes a good lead, message, and sales play.
  • Have contributed to a shared platform, data model, or internal tooling relied on by other teams.
  • Be trusted by marketers, product marketers, sales representatives, and sales leaders, and work effectively with them.

Nice To Haves

  • Have stood up a motion, product, or company from zero.
  • Have worked on small-business and self-serve funnels alongside a sales-led motion.
  • Have product marketing experience in positioning, launches, competitive intelligence, or win/loss analysis.
  • Have a current point of view on SEO and generative engine optimization.
  • Have turned Gong or call data into signals or content.
  • Have built evaluations or observability for an AI system.
  • Have done ontology, knowledge graph, or semantic layer work modeling accounts, entities, or go-to-market concepts.
  • Have worked in transportation, compliance, regtech, or another regulated market.

Responsibilities

  • Turn marketing, product marketing, and sales hypotheses into experiments across messaging, channels, targeting, offers, pricing pages, and sales plays.
  • Design experiments with a control, a metric selected in advance, and enough volume to support reliable conclusions.
  • Run a high volume of tests, quickly stop unsuccessful tests, scale successful ones, and maintain a learning log.
  • Build research and enrichment agents that provide account knowledge to sales representatives.
  • Build signal and trigger detection for events such as new DOT authority, fleet growth, safety events, and upcoming renewals.
  • Own lead scoring, qualification, and routing so each lead is handled by the appropriate person or agent.
  • Run personalized outbound and lifecycle programs at scale and own deliverability.
  • Instrument tracking and attribution to measure what is working.
  • Test positioning and messaging with real buyers.
  • Prepare launches with targeting, pages, and follow-up already wired.
  • Turn sales calls, win/loss data, and competitor activity into insights for product marketing.
  • Build content and SEO/GEO tooling to help Foley’s compliance expertise appear where buyers are looking.
  • Provide prospect research and account preparation for sales representatives.
  • Surface signals that help representatives know whom to contact and why now.
  • Build tools that reduce sales administration and give representatives more time to sell.
  • Ensure smaller deals are worked through systems designed to handle them effectively.
  • Build go-to-market agents on Foley’s AI platform and shared ontology rather than a separate growth stack.
  • Contribute reusable connectors, skills, and signals.
  • Add go-to-market concepts to the ontology so marketing, sales, customer success, and product describe accounts consistently.
  • Ship work through review and release gates and handle consent, PII, and email, SMS, and calling rules.
  • Build systems that remain operational and trusted over time.
  • Participate in marketing, product marketing, and sales meetings, with priorities set by those teams’ leaders.
  • Partner with RevOps, the data team, and other Foley builders.
  • Share work and help colleagues move faster.
