About The Position

Syntiant Corp. is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to integrate and deploy Syntiant software on new platforms in customer environments. The role works directly with customers and involves hands-on work with target hardware, troubleshooting deployment issues, and helping achieve successful technical outcomes for projects in Syntiant’s federal business. The position requires travel to customer sites, including test ranges and military installations, for trips of up to two weeks at a time. Syntiant develops hardware and software solutions for edge AI deployment. Its silicon and hardware-agnostic models support speech, audio, sensor, and vision applications across consumer and industrial use cases.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
Strong C++ and Python experience.
Experience working in large, complex codebases.
Experience with Embedded Linux.
Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms.
Ability to work quickly and independently in fast-paced, ambiguous field environments.
Comfort working with customers and end-users, including non-technical stakeholders.
U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Computer vision or audio experience.
Familiarity with autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities
