About The Position

This client-facing technical role sits at the intersection of customers, product, and applied AI. The Forward Deployed Engineer works directly with American manufacturers to understand their business operations, translate imperfect and ambiguous requirements into clear agent behaviors, and deploy reliable AI agents that deliver measurable value. The role owns customer deployments end-to-end, from workflow discovery and requirements prioritization through configuration, launch, measurement, and ongoing improvement. Day-to-day work includes writing SOPs and prompts, building evaluations, configuring tools and guardrails, and working with real-world inputs such as dirty PDFs, legacy data, tribal knowledge, and operational edge cases. The engineer works with LLMs and code, communicates directly with customer teams, and turns field insights into improved product capabilities and more repeatable deployment processes. The role is based in the company's New York City office, in person five days a week, and includes travel to customer sites across the United States. The company builds AI workers for manufacturing back-office functions such as quoting, purchasing, invoicing, and sales coordination, with the goal of removing bottlenecks and helping American manufacturers compete globally.
