Forward Deployed Engineer

Luv Bridal•American Fork, UT
•$110,000 - $120,000

About The Position

Luv Bridal is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to build applications, integrations, data products, automations, and AI tools that support its business. This is a hands-on engineering role rather than a traditional IT position. The engineer will work directly with leadership and teams across the company to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities, and develop practical, scalable solutions. Projects may range from internal applications and integrations to AI workflows, dashboards, data products, and rapid prototypes. Some solutions will become permanent enterprise applications, while others will be experiments to assess new ideas. The role calls for a product-minded, full-stack engineer who can independently take a business challenge through workflow design, data, architecture, prototyping, and production. The engineer will work in an environment that includes Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Fabric and Azure, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Copilot and Copilot Studio, BridalLive, Shopify, REST APIs, custom applications, AI models and agents, and retail and business data. Expertise in every platform is not expected; strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems are valued. The engineer will own some solutions end-to-end and collaborate with internal technology teams, company leadership, operational teams, specialists, and external technology partners on others. The role emphasizes security, maintainability, documentation, standardization, and solutions that other team members can understand and support. Candidates must currently live in Utah to be considered. Compensation is a base salary of $110,000–$120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a performance-based bonus.

Requirements

  • Strong full-stack application development skills, including TypeScript or JavaScript and modern web frameworks.
  • High proficiency with APIs, SQL, relational databases, integrations, and business systems.
  • Comfort working with cloud platforms and enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools and interest in LLMs, agents, RAG, tool calling, and AI-enabled applications.
  • Ability to move quickly from prototype to reliable, scalable production software.
  • Commitment to clean code, standardized development practices, thorough documentation, and maintainable system architecture.
  • Knowledge of application security, access controls, data protection, and secure development practices.
  • A product mindset and ability to challenge assumptions, simplify processes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort taking ownership of projects from initial concept through implementation, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to share expertise, cross-train colleagues, and contribute to the broader capabilities of the technology team.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly and apply sound engineering principles.
  • Must currently live in Utah to be considered.
