About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a full-time Forklift Operator at its Salem, Virginia service center. The operator moves various types of freight safely into and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long, using a forklift on a roofed, non-climate-controlled dock. The role pays $21.49 per hour and is scheduled for the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 1:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Employees earn one week of vacation after 90 days of employment and receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to employee resorts.

Requirements

• Forklift experience.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests.
• Ability to read and interact with a computer display.
• Dependability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experience.
