About The Position

The Warehouse Forklift Operator performs warehouse tasks and operates equipment according to warehouse documentation and established processes and procedures, with regular guidance. The role supports efficient and safe operations in Cargill’s protein and salt business.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to perform physical job duties that may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and dust, while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice.
Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
Forklift experience and/or experience with similar equipment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in production-related work.
Basic computer skills.
High school diploma or GED, or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Operate a propane-powered forklift to load and unload trailers.
Stage products inside the warehouse and yard.
Put inventory away in the correct locations.
Use a computer as part of warehouse work.
Operate a pallet inverter to rework damaged product pallets.
Perform general housekeeping, including sweeping, scraping, shoveling, and wiping.
Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
