About The Position

Wiese is seeking a Service Technician to repair customers’ material handling equipment. The equipment may include forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, floor care equipment, and more. The technician serves as a point of contact between Wiese and its customers, representing the company professionally while providing mechanical services and customer service.

Requirements

• Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch or crawl in confined areas.
• Comfort working at heights above 15 feet.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may apply.
• Provide personal hand tools.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn company software for completing online work orders.
• Demonstrable verbal and non-verbal customer service skills.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, comprehensive background check, and motor vehicle record check, and proof of employment eligibility through E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Actively support, promote, and lead safety initiatives.
• Follow safety policies and procedures, work safely, and report unsafe work or environments to management.
• Troubleshoot customer equipment problems.
• Confer with customers and obtain their approval before making repairs.
• Complete and submit required paperwork.
• Provide customer service, including offering Wiese services, added-value items, and equipment based on potential customer needs.
• Manage workload effectively.
• Perform hazard assessments for each job and maintain safe work practices and quality control.
