About The Position

Wiese is hiring an equipment mechanic to repair customers’ material handling equipment. The Service Technician works on a wide range of equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, and floor care equipment. The role serves as a point of contact between Wiese and its customers, representing the company professionally while providing mechanical services and customer support.

Technicians are expected to work safely, assess hazards, maintain quality control, manage their workload, communicate with customers about repairs, and complete required paperwork and online work orders. The position requires providing your own hand tools and passing pre-employment screening, including a drug screen, physical exam, background check, motor vehicle record check, and employment eligibility verification.

Requirements

• Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch or crawl in confined areas.
• Comfort working at heights above 15 feet.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record may apply.
• Provide your own hand tools.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to quickly learn company software.
• Demonstrable verbal and non-verbal customer-service skills.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, comprehensive background record check, motor vehicle record check, and proof of employment eligibility (E-Verify).

Responsibilities

• Actively support, promote, and lead safety initiatives; follow safety policies and procedures; work safely and report unsafe work or environments to management.
• Troubleshoot customer equipment problems.
• Confer with customers and obtain approval before making repairs.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Provide customer service, including offering additional Wiese services, value-added items, and equipment based on potential customer needs.
• Manage workload effectively.
• Perform hazard assessments for each job and maintain safe work practices and quality control.
• Complete online work orders using company software.
