About The Position

Cummings Electrical is hiring traveling Electrical Foremen to work in new commercial and/or industrial construction settings. The role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and coordinating work with the Superintendent. The Foreman provides on-site direction and training to Apprentice Electricians, checks crew installations for quality and compliance with code and safety standards, and ensures requested materials are expedited and received as needed. The position offers opportunities for skill development through safety and training programs and advancement within the company.

Requirements

A valid state Journeyman’s License is required.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and project managers regarding project progress, issues, and recommendations.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Prepare, read, and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine wiring layouts and equipment and fixture placement.
Assist the Superintendent in planning work and schedules.
Inspect crew installations for quality and ensure code and safety standards are met.
Provide on-site direction, mentoring, and training to Apprentice Electricians.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in new commercial and/or industrial construction settings.
Perform layout and termination work and understand electrical drawings.
Ensure requested materials are expedited and received as needed.
Communicate with customers, team members, and project managers about project progress, issues, and recommendations.
