About The Position

This position is responsible for managing excavation, demolition, and heavy machinery operations while maintaining strict adherence to construction safety protocols. The Foreman acts as the primary point of contact between project management and on-site workers, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of issues. By effectively scheduling processes and managing resources, the Foreman ensures that project milestones and deadlines are consistently met. Ultimately, this role drives the successful completion of commercial construction projects by combining technical expertise with strong team leadership and organizational skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Proven experience in excavation, commercial building, and demolition projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to operate and oversee heavy machinery and equipment safely.
• Excavation and demolition skills daily to oversee site preparation and ensure structural integrity during commercial building projects.
• Construction management and safety expertise are essential for coordinating teams, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Proficiency with heavy machinery allows the Foreman to schedule and supervise equipment use effectively, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
• Project estimation and process scheduling skills enable the Foreman to plan resources and timelines accurately, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are applied continuously to motivate crews, resolve conflicts, and liaise with project stakeholders for seamless operations.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or certification in construction management or related field.
• Experience with project estimation and process scheduling software.
• Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily on-site construction activities including excavation, demolition, and commercial building tasks.

• Collaborate with project managers to estimate project timelines, resource needs, and budget considerations.

• Identify and resolve any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on schedule.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and progress reports to support project tracking and accountability.
