About The Position

Oversee and lead electrical construction crews for Primoris Energy Services, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This role involves direct supervision, technical guidance, and adherence to project specifications and company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Possession of a valid Journeyman Electrician license/certification in the relevant jurisdiction (APEX area preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities of electrical construction workers.
  • Plan and lay out work, interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and identify and mitigate potential hazards on site.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a skilled and productive workforce.
  • Monitor project progress, report on status, and identify potential delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials on site.
  • Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other necessary documentation accurately and on time.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment as needed.
