About The Position

The Footwear Outfitter performs sales and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience through product demonstrations, merchandising, replenishment, and knowledgeable assistance with buying decisions. The Outfitter also promotes customer programs and follows company policies and procedures. This position operates under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. It involves choosing from limited alternatives to resolve problems, occasional independent judgment to complete assignments, and making recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; handle merchandise with care and provide information, assistance, and direction.
Demonstrate products to customers and maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines; assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
