About The Position

The Footwear Outfitter performs sales and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. The Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures and innovation; occasional independent judgment is needed to complete assignments, and the role often makes recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift and meet the listed physical requirements, including moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Demonstrate products to customers and maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise as required and follow merchandising guidelines.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
