About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, developing product knowledge, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The position performs duties under general supervision, following established procedures while using occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work practices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
- Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
