FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER (ON CALL)
About The Position
Culinaire is hiring an on-call Food Transporter/Delivery Driver for Food Glorious Food in Dallas, Texas. The role delivers food, supplies, and other products to service units and areas using a vehicle. The driver picks up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders from a staging clerk, checks orders for completeness, loads and unloads materials, and follows food sanitation and safety requirements. The position also involves collecting empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise, keeping the assigned vehicle clean, and performing routine truck maintenance. Days and hours may vary; further schedule details are provided during the interview. The pay rate is $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous delivery and driving experience is required.
- Must have a valid state driver's license.
- Must have a valid food handler's permit where required.
- Must safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
Responsibilities
- Pick up requisitioned supplies from the staging clerk.
- Receive completed production orders from the staging clerk and inventory items to ensure orders are complete.
- Load orders onto the truck safely and orderly, with assistance from staging clerks.
- Unload requisitioned materials at delivery sites.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
- Ensure hot and cold food items are kept in compliance with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
- Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
- Interact with coworkers to support company service standards.
- Provide quality customer service through one-on-one attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
