Food Transporter/Delivery Driver (On Call)
About The Position
Culinaire is hiring an on-call Food Transporter/Delivery Driver for Food Glorious Food in Dallas, Texas. The role delivers food, supplies, and other products to service units and locations using a vehicle. The driver picks up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders, checks orders for completeness, loads and unloads items, and ensures food is handled and transported safely and in compliance with sanitation standards. The position also involves collecting empty containers and unsold or rejected merchandise, keeping the assigned vehicle clean, performing routine truck maintenance, and providing attentive customer service while working with coworkers to meet company service standards. The schedule is on call, with days and hours that may vary. Pay is $18.00 to $25.00 per hour. Applicants must have previous delivery and driving experience, a valid state driver's license, and a valid food handler's permit where required. The position is eligible for an employee referral bonus.
Requirements

- Operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
Responsibilities
- Pick up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders from the staging clerk.
- Inventory items to ensure production orders are complete.
- Load orders onto the truck safely and in an orderly manner, with assistance from staging clerks.
- Unload requisitioned materials at delivery sites.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
- Keep hot and cold food items in compliance with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
- Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
- Work with coworkers to meet company service standards.
- Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
