About The Position

Food Service Team Members are responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the Food Service Station during their shift, in accordance with company policy. The role supports the store’s profitability and growth while ensuring customers’ needs are met. Team members prepare fresh made-to-order food, maintain self-service food offerings, operate the cash register, and provide courteous, high-quality customer service. They also maintain sanitation, product freshness, inventory availability, safety, security, and the appearance of the store and its surroundings. Gloves, a hat or visor, and an apron are required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Knowledge of product and production processes.
• Allergen and food safety awareness.
• Basic knowledge of products, production processes, and techniques for maximizing production.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
• Awareness of sanitation and hygiene practices.
• Concern for personal and coworker safety, with a responsible attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
• Must wear gloves, a hat or visor, and an apron.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh made-to-order food items.
• Maintain self-service food offerings, including coffee, fresh-case items, dispensers, fountain machines, and the condiment center.
• Load products into the fresh case as needed.
• Operate the cash register.
• Provide best-in-class customer service and follow the company’s customer service program.
• Greet customers warmly, suggest purchases, and promote specials.
• Maintain high levels of sanitation and monitor product freshness and availability.
• Stock and back-stock products, replenish condiments and supplies, and rotate products by received date.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers, and enforce environmental and hazardous-material regulations.
• Maintain store safety and security and document accidents or incidents.
• Maintain the customer environment inside and around the store.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently and support the Nouria Safety and Health program.
• Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
• Complete the new employee safety orientation procedure.
• Maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
