Food Services Rep
About The Position
The Food Services Rep oversees daily activities in the tray-line, dish-room, and patient care areas involved in preparing and serving patient meals and nourishments. The role supports patient safety goals as appropriate to its level of patient contact. It is a part-time position at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The position reports to the Food Service Operations Lead. The work may involve exposure to wet surfaces, hot equipment, and chemicals, and requires following standard precautions. Additional or varied physical demands and/or respiratory fit-test requirements may apply.
Requirements
- Sufficient education to read, write, comprehend, and carry out directions.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of work experience related to menu categories, tray checking, equipment, and operation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Obtain food items, supplies, and serving utensils needed for tray assembly.
- Assemble trays according to patient menu selections and specified standard portions.
- Deliver trays and food carts within established time frames.
- Supervise delivery and retrieval of patient meals, including late trays.
- Communicate with nursing staff about issues relevant to patient meal service and take appropriate action.
- Adhere to applicable National Patient Safety Goals.
