About The Position

Chartwells K12 is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at Bridgewater Raynham Schools in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. The worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, following approved recipes, production standards, food safety procedures, and company service standards. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; additional details may be provided during the interview. No experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Benefits are available to part-time associates. Because the work is performed in an educational facility, the company may have periods when services are not needed, such as winter or summer breaks; those periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs. Depending on business needs, year-round work, potentially at a different location during breaks, may be required.

Requirements

• No experience is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
