Food Service Worker (Part Time)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. The worker prepares, presents, and serves food while following food safety, sanitation, quality, portion-control, inventory, and cash-control standards. The role includes food preparation, transporting and storing food, cleaning work areas and equipment, distributing supplies, serving customers, and addressing customer concerns. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required; training is available. The schedule is 4:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., with days that may vary and some mornings included. The fixed pay rate is $25.15 per hour. Requirements
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, present, and serve food as needed.
- Perform food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
