About The Position

This position works in the patient meal assembly area and supports Food and Nutrition Services by washing patient and cafeteria dishes, removing department garbage, and sweeping and mopping the kitchen. The worker also collects dirty patient trays from nursing floors and helps stock food and condiments for patient areas. The role involves using cleaning supplies and operating a dish machine, while collaborating with department staff to provide quality food and service to patients.

Work is performed indoors in a hot and humid area, with demands ranging from medium to heavy. Duties require walking and standing, as well as bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing. The employee may be required to rotate to a different shift if acute staffing needs arise.
