About The Position

This position works in the patient meal assembly area, washes patient and cafeteria dishes, removes garbage from the department, and sweeps and mops the kitchen. The worker picks up dirty patient trays from nursing floors and collaborates with others in Food and Nutrition Services to provide quality food and service to patients. The position also involves stocking food and condiments for patient areas and using cleaning supplies and a dish machine. Work demands range from medium to heavy. Duties require walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing. The work is performed indoors in a hot and humid area. The employee may be required to rotate to a different shift to address acute staffing needs.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Normal vision is required.
• Ability to perform work ranging from medium to heavy demand, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing.
