FOOD SERVICE WORKER (PART TIME)
About The Position
The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The role includes food preparation, safe handling and storage, cleaning, distributing supplies and equipment, and serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner. The worker follows approved recipes, production and portion-control standards, service procedures, inventory and cash-control procedures, and sanitation and safety requirements. The position is part-time at Miami Valley in Dayton, Ohio, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Previous customer service experience is preferred. The role may require lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using appropriate wrapping, dating, food-safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and follow outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
