About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at Winthrop University. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with some weekends. The position pays $12.00 per hour. The role includes an associate meal, on-the-job training, and a flexible work schedule. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until openings are filled. Because the position is in an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during periods such as winter and summer breaks, when food-service needs decline or cease. Such periods may be unpaid and treated as a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at another location during breaks. The employer offers eligible associates training and development opportunities, a retirement plan, an associate shopping program, health and wellness programs, a discount marketplace, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and voluntary benefits. Additional benefits are listed for full-time positions and do not apply to this part-time role as stated.
