About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares patient meals in a safe and sanitary manner and maintains safe, sanitary workspaces. The position performs patient room service and trayline duties, prepares and delivers courtesy trays, and portions food for patients according to menu specifications and established guidelines. It also performs dishroom procedures, cleans and sanitizes pots and pans, and breaks down equipment using appropriate procedures and practices. The employee follows University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Duties may be expanded as necessary and are not limited to those listed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
