About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares patient meals safely and hygienically, maintains safe and sanitary workspaces, and performs patient room-service and tray-line duties. The role also includes preparing and delivering courtesy trays, portioning patient food according to menu specifications and established guidelines, correctly completing dish-room procedures, cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans, and breaking down equipment using appropriate procedures and practices. The employee follows University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Duties may be expanded to include other responsibilities as necessary. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
