About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares patient meals in a safe and sanitary manner and maintains safe, sanitary workspaces. The role performs patient room service and trayline duties, prepares and delivers courtesy trays, and portions food according to menu specifications and established guidelines. The worker also performs dish room procedures, cleans and sanitizes pots and pans, and breaks down equipment using appropriate procedures and practices. The position follows University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Duties may be expanded or adjusted to meet departmental needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Commitment to the University’s core values.
Work independently and/or collaboratively.
