About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for their Bistro and Dietary department. This role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals while adhering to quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. The position also includes stocking patient floor kitchens, serving guests with a focus on positive customer relations, replenishing supplies, performing sanitation duties, and handling dish room tasks. Additionally, the role may involve collecting payments for guest trays, processing food sales transactions as a cashier in the Cafeteria, and setting up/serving meals for various dining outlets including corporate retail, catering, and the Doctors Dining Room. Buffet and reception table decoration may also be assigned. This position is crucial for ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of customers through high-quality food preparation and service, or by supporting coworkers in these efforts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
- Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience in food and nutrition preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
- Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
- Complete sanitation duties.
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
- Collect payments for guest trays.
- Handle transactions for food sales in the Cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
