About The Position
Encino Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Worker for its dietary department. The hospital is a 150-bed facility in Encino, California, serving a diverse population and providing inpatient and outpatient services. The role performs patient and non-patient food service duties, including preparing and delivering patient trays, cafeteria service, tray-line work, stocking storage areas, preparing nourishments, dishwashing and pot washing, cleaning floors, and emptying trash.
Requirements
- County-specific Food Handlers certification is required upon hire and must be maintained as current.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, effective July 1, 2017, as a county-specific requirement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver patient trays.
- Service the cafeteria and work on the tray line.
- Stock storage areas and prepare nourishments.
- Wash dishes and pots.
- Mop and sweep floors and empty trash.
- Perform other related food service tasks.
