About The Position

St. Louis Children's Hospital is hiring a Food Service Worker II to provide quality food service to cafeteria customers, with an emphasis on prompt service and customer courtesy. The role performs food preparation and service tasks, including setting up service areas with food, utensils, and garnishments; portioning and serving food; maintaining sanitation; and responding to customer requests. The position is full-time and requires availability for AM and PM shifts, as well as rotating weekends and holidays. A positive attitude and enjoyment of working with children are expected.

Must be able to work AM and PM shifts.
Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
Must have a positive attitude and love of children.
Experience requirement: less than 2 years.
No supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, friendly customer service and follow food safety and portion guidelines.
Set up the work area and organize supplies and products before, during, and after the shift.
Clean and sanitize work stations and utensils.
Use equipment and materials properly and safely.
Accurately assemble meals according to the menu, diet order, and correct protocol.
Prepare and serve food, set up service areas, portion food, maintain sanitation, and assist with customer requests.
