About The Position

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Worker II to provide quality food service to cafeteria customers with prompt service and courtesy. The role performs food-service functions including food preparation, setting up service areas with food, utensils, and garnishes, portioning and serving food, sanitation, and responding to customer requests. Work may include serving in the doctors’ lounge, food preparation, and cleaning. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a usual schedule of 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., some evenings, and rotating weekends and holidays.

The Food and Nutrition Services department provides nutritionally balanced meals and medical nutrition therapy to patients, staff, and visitors, working collaboratively with the facility’s nursing, ancillary, and medical staff. This position contributes to the department’s daily delivery of fresh, healthy, flavorful food offerings.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years of experience.
• No supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly customer service while following food safety and portion guidelines.
• Set up and organize the work area, supplies, and products before, during, and after the shift.
• Clean and sanitize the work station and utensils.
• Use equipment and materials properly and safely.
• Accurately assemble meals according to the menu, diet order, and correct protocol.
• Prepare food, set up service areas with food, utensils, and garnishes, portion and serve food, and assist with customer requests.
