About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker II (Lead) for Food Services. The role leads Food Service Workers in daily food and tray-line setup, service, and cleanup and sanitation. The lead helps train new staff, conducts inventory, assigns tasks, monitors portion control, and ensures service areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized. The role also ensures that procedures for recipes, menus, quality, and safe food handling guidelines are followed.

The position is based in Norfolk, Virginia and works rotating shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays, for 40 hours per week. A Food Service Handler's Card is required as required by the local Health Department.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years of food service experience.
• Food Service Handler's Card, as required by the local Health Department.
